Sean Morgan 0:01 Okay, welcome to the show. My name is Sean Morgan. This is down to earth adventures and everyday living and I am interviewing Stacy Morris Stacy, welcome to the show. Stacy Morris 0:10 Hi, thanks for having me. Sean Morgan 0:12 Stacy is my mentor with Young Living essential oils. And she has an MBA and she she and her husband are incredibly smart, hardworking people, faith, people full of faith, which I really appreciate that as well. And, and this is the first episode of down to earth podcast. And I'm just going to give a quick summary of it before we start getting into the conversation, Stacy, which is that this is about really practical, actionable tips and experiments and experiences with health and well being and getting meaning and happiness out of life. But not through the traditional ways that people have tried through the ego and through service to yourself but more through through your family, your friends. your community, God giving honor to God and your spiritual journey. And so that's what I want to talk to you about today. Stacey is how we can use essential oils in our everyday life that that brings that simple and not complicated to, to just us and bring us and bring in that new dimension to our life that we didn't have because we we kind of live in these little bubbles of technology and modern life separated from nature a lot. And a lot of people are not using herbs or plants or tinctures or any of these types of things. And they don't understand the all of the different uses that you can get out of nature. And so I thought we would kind of go back and forth you can share with And then I'll share one of how we use essential oils and those types of things in our daily life, Stacy Morris 2:06 sir, absolutely. Really, when I talk to somebody, I kind of asked them kind of what is it that they're looking to, to work on first. And so this is something you can really dip your toe in and just kind of start. And when I started seven, almost seven years ago, in October, I was not natural. And I did not eat clean. I thought oils were kind of hippie stuff. I mean, it was like, no, yeah, I don't understand it. Well, I had a friend who was talking about how much lavender really helped her kind of wind down for the evening. And so I was like, and so I sent her a message on Facebook. And she said, You know, this is, you know, this is where everybody starts, you know, everybody starts the starter kit. And so I was like, Okay, well, I'll go ahead and get started and when I got it, I think I opened up the bottle and it was very easy to use one it was really I was so lucky and blessed to be part of a great community that helped me walk through it. So I didn't have to know I'd have to be I didn't have to be green or natural to to get started it was really you know, these are these are for women that are on the go moms that are on the go that you just need to get something need something to help their baby kind of relax for the night and not keep them up on life. Right. And so it's I mean, it can do it can really be a part of your life in it can be you know, you can you can start anywhere. But that's I started with lavender. Sean Morgan 3:42 Lavender wasn't awesome oil to start with. Yeah, it's like it's probably my favorite essential oil. so far. I'm still exploring all the different kinds, but it's so powerful and gentle at the same time, which is weird, scary. It's so first it's I use it for bug spray for winding down at night for sleep aid, meditation. What else something Stacy Morris 4:10 they call it the Swiss Army Knife of Wales, because you can use it for pretty much everything we always say if you could have one oil if you're on a deserted island, you can only have one oil and they're pretty good. Lavender would be the one though. Yeah, lavender does so much so much. And it's funny to say that lavender is the most synthetic oil that's available in the world because most of the lavender fields have you know, have been cross pollinated and different things. So a lot of different companies when you when you see the word lavender, you have to be really careful. Sean Morgan 4:51 Fake aroma thing, right? It's not an actual essential oil of a plant can explain Seed to Seal Stacy Morris 4:58 C. difficile. C. difficile is young. Living the promise of Young Living ctcl. What CCL means is they take the very best seed that has the most molecules because essential oils, when you get down to it are molecules that kind of like God molecules, they help they go into our body. And they are used in our body in the best way that the body knows how to use it. There's different molecules that do different things. But this the seed is really where it starts. It's organic, non GMO seed that's grown and grown for when it's that has the best production of molecules. Young Living has farms where you can go and actually see this whole process, which is really cool. The only company that you can go and you can actually do it. They're very transparent. I've been to the farms, it's fabulous, but the seed and then they pick the seeds, they test it to make sure that there's nothing in the ground, that there's nothing that you don't want in your product and then They tested seven times. So they test it when when they before they distill it, then they distill it at the most optimal timeframe to get the most constituents is only single distillation. So it's not like think of like a coffee, where you where you're doing your first round, it's the most concentrated oil when other companies may do it. Multiple distillation. So it's kind of like doing drinking coffee and using the grains twice, or three times, and maybe blending it. So when you when you get in living, you're actually going wow, this is this is different Sean Morgan 6:34 to the quality control from the very, very beginning till the time it's sealed up and shipped to you and everything. Exactly. Let's talk about unwinding and sleep aids for essential oil because I think that's one of the main uses for for my family is and you don't really realize how much like you said, You didn't really realize how much you need. Essential Oils till you start using them. And then they're like, they add this dimension to your life. And it's not just a olfactory dimension where you smell something that's like heavenly in your environment, it's a physical reaction that you get to them, that's adds a dimension to your life and it aids you in like the appreciation of living your life. And so like we, I have a two year old and and that's just stress you know, it's just stress in a bottle. And and so we we need to figure out after I'm on my computer all day and then deal with the two year old and then at the end of all that my wife and I just want to wind down and go to sleep and be able to stay asleep all night. And so you know, we do different things like we have different herbs that we drink teas from Brazil. And there's some common ones that are common in America to like Kim meal and mint and we also drink something in Brazil called cupim c deatta which is like a tranquilizer when you drink it you have to be near a bed because you start going like completely catatonic. Yeah, but lavender doesn't do that it doesn't like shut you down like caffeine does for me like so it's good to like do it maybe a couple hours before you're going to go to sleep. Right? And when you get that starter kit, you get an infuser and it's, it's a powerful thing and it like fills the whole room immediately. Right, Stacy Morris 8:35 right. Right. And the really great thing about Young Living essential oils is there's really three ways that you can utilize them. One is through the diffuser so you can use them aromatically and you can use it topically so you can make it like if you're using lavender, you can make a nice little spray. I can I can spray my pillows I can. I can put them on wool balls because the most toxic thing we're in a we're going to talk about toxins. In the future, but toxins that come into your home or from laundry sheets, laundry sheets are the biggest change that Sean Morgan 9:08 you can make the dryer sheets. So just throw those in the garbage basically, Stacy Morris 9:13 unfortunately, yes. And and we are so used to it, but it's, it's an input. And it was one of the things I was like Unknown Speaker 9:22 I had no idea, Unknown Speaker 9:23 no clue. Sean Morgan 9:24 But dryers, I knew I knew from smelling them because I'm so sensitive to fragrances that when I smell them, it's like smelling a chemical plant. Stacy Morris 9:32 Yeah. And then when you do when you start detoxing your body, you'll get really sensitive to that smell and you'll be like on your head starts hurting you feel starting a little nauseous. But But when you can, if you want to put essential oils on your wall balls, we get wall balls, you can do like wool socks, you can do make your own wool balls and can get them from the store and just put a couple drops on there, throw them in the dryer and so then you've got that nice fresh sense of it. You're sleeping at night, you can smell that as well. And, you know, anytime you're using dryer sheets, it's in her closet, it's off gassing on your clothes, and things like that. So, number one, what's number one kind of hint is is ditch the dryer sheets. Sean Morgan 10:16 Right? Right. So and so I really have only used two different essential oils for sleep aid and one is lavender. And the way that we do it not only is the aromatically but through just putting in an end carrier oil, like maybe Grapeseed which is great for a massage oil because it's viscous. And, and then like my wife and I'll just give each other shoulder massage with the the lavender grapeseed oil mix. And, and you sent me a link to on Amazon where you can buy these little bottles with the roller heads. Yeah, and they're beautiful and You know when you first get these essential oils, like you're like okay, what do I do with these because they have these little droppers and everything, but once you get the hang of it it's pretty easy you just fill the little fill these little bottles with some kind of carrier oil and then just drop a couple drops of the essential oil and then boom you've got like this mess so why are Ella wrong? Stacy Morris 11:23 Yeah, for sure. last a long time you can put it in witch hazel and water and do a little spray. So if you want like again from a sphere, your pillows, your sheets. And you know if you want it in the restroom, you can use it the restroom. And we even have people that put it put them on like paper rolls like 12 holes, you can just have like a little and it just when you're moving it makes it's just really interesting. You can do lots of different things. Of course it's fabulous in the bathtub too, so you can put on Epsom salts, drop it in there, put Sean Morgan 11:55 whatever another really toxic thing right so they'll these bath salts that are filled with chemicals, Stacy Morris 12:00 anything with fragrance anytime, anytime you deal or you see fragrance on the label, that is the the corporate company structure basically saying we're going to have our own. We're going to we don't have to we don't have to disclose what's in that fragrance because that is the corporate company recipe. And really a legal term. Yeah, it can be really Sean Morgan 12:22 anything. So you know, we just call it a chemical storm. How do you how do you use essential oils for bass because that's part of the unwinding thing we're talking about now unwinding with essential oil. So if you take a bath, do you just drop a few essential oil drops into the bath? Or do you have some kind of like process Stacy Morris 12:40 on the Epsom salts because if you get oil and water don't mix, so if you have a bath and you put some oil on top, you're it's just gonna sit on the top, we want to integrate it within the bathtub. And so Epsom salts are fabulous, again, for getting for other body properties of like heading magnesium and things like that in our systems. So putting Have an Epsom salt putting a couple of drops in there. You can kind of you know, shake them around. You can Sean Morgan 13:05 say you have like a little book box or bottle of Epsom salts and you put the drops in the bottle of Epsom salts and then shake it or something like that. Stacy Morris 13:14 Or you can take like a little mason jar and put you know, you can you can have, you know, 22 making their own Sean Morgan 13:20 DIY bath Stacy Morris 13:21 try Yeah, you can. Yeah, I mean, it takes two minutes. It really is. It's, I mean, it is such a super easy recipes in it, take a cup of Epsom salt, put six to eight drops of lavender in it, put the top on shake it and then when you're ready for the math and I'm in Sean Morgan 13:38 toxin free natural Stacy Morris 13:41 wood. We have bass. Sean Morgan 13:44 I know it's not good to use the word medicinal because then you're like violating these FDA things, but it's this natural thing this that your body uses as like a nutrient or something like that. Right? Compared to like, a chemical pregnancy that can harm you, it's something your body's like, using, Stacy Morris 14:06 right? Anything that God was amazing. So he gave us the plants, the trees and everything and and our medicines are from our plants that's in the Bible, right? And so even though can't say it's medicine, he provided that to us. Okay, so as a definition is legal definition medicine is anything that stops something, essential oils will go in and they'll go into the cell and they will help go through and they're adaptogenic. So they're going to go through and create a balance in your system. Can you eat Sean Morgan 14:45 between essential oils you buy a Walmart and therapeutic grade essential oils? Stacy Morris 14:49 Yes. And essential oils have been around for millennia. But they were really popularized when Gary young started Learning distillation in the 80s. And he started Young Living in 1993 94. And he was the first company he's the he's he was the kind of godfather of modern distillation. So as that company started growing, it was really popular. And well, it was growing and growing and growing. But when I started in 2013, there was about 500,000 users, there's now 7 million worldwide users of Young Living Products. And so that, of course, kind of just launched where every company started. So you could go to various stores, book and things like that. And you can pick up essential oils, you only need to have 5% of pure essential oils to be essential oils. The reason that the Sean Morgan 15:51 corporate stuff it's not necessarily filled with 100% pure essential oil, correct? Stacy Morris 15:56 Correct because you cannot and this is when I got when I got me Essential oils. My husband was like, What do you get yourself into? Why is it John's? Why isn't Johnson Johnson? Why are they weren't the companies, the big pharmaceutical companies doing this? If this is so great if this works, so well, we cannot patent something that recurs in nature unless you change it and at a molecular level. So a GMO is patentable. Right Johnson and Johnson actually tried. Sean Morgan 16:23 You can patch you can patent lavender. Stacy Morris 16:25 Now you cannot patent love. See, so So what is the consumer to do they have to understand the company of where they're purchasing it from. So sometimes you go sometimes people go like I heard about these essential oils, and they'll go to the grocery store, and they'll see it on the end cap or the or the national food store, because they think that might be better. It really isn't. And, and so there's, you know, it's like they see something and it's like, oh, well just pick this up. And then they get it and they open it up and they have no experience. They open up one bottle and they go well these don't work well. Of course because you're getting that dilution that heavy, diluted products that you might get 1% or 3% of pure. Sean Morgan 17:06 The scary thing for me is that when you buy these things for yourself and your family, and then you put them into a diffuser and then you start breathing in chemicals, or you put them on your skin and you can get sick and have a rash and all these things, Stacy Morris 17:24 yeah, that's our skin is our largest organ in our body. So that's that our skin is the responsiveness of our of toxic overload. So when we, when we bring things into the home, not knowing we're we're bringing in all sorts of toxins into our home that we just don't, we just don't realize. In the 1976 they had a toxic act that said that they had grandfather and whole bunch of toxics and toxins. If you you're young, but when I was a little kid, I would tell I would pick up something and would have a skull and crossbones on it. We don't see that in the US market anymore. We see warning caution danger, which you know the skull and crossbones was not a good marketing tool. Sean Morgan 18:14 So you go into your thing have to remember that fabulous Stacy Morris 18:24 you go into your sink and you go you look at caution, danger, warning, danger, those that really that's a toxic so every time you bring something in you do use it, that is going to put a biochemical load. So women there's like a study that says women that wake up within the first three hours use something like 80, toxic chemicals with toothpaste, makeup, backwash shampoo, conditioner, and things like that. So so when we get people kind of started on this wellness journey, we have interests like take one step at a time and then as you goes through as you start seeing some, you know you're detoxing your body and everybody's different, you know Sean Morgan 19:07 about your living is that they have these products that have essential oils in them like toothpaste that doesn't have the toxic fluoride. And they use different kinds of essential oils that give you fresh breath and are antibacterial and all those things. So that's one of my my favorites that I've tried so far. The fluoride free toothpaste, and I've tried a bunch of them from Tom's of Maine and different companies, but this one's like delicious and kissable breath from everything Stacy Morris 19:37 for you. And it's like what if it doesn't hurt you it actually helps you. Sean Morgan 19:43 Right? You know? So what other unwinding and and sleep aids Do you use for essential oils? Stacy Morris 19:53 I guess a lot of different types of essential oils, not just lavender and but I use Peace and calming, struggling peace and calming is a blend. It is a fabulous one did I use them together? You can put a couple different ones in the diffuser. cedar wood is fabulous cedar wood for some people it has. Okay when we talked about smell, and we talked about memory, because your olfactory has memories, and you can you can walk in a room you can smell grandma's in a baking pie or something. And you're going to have that memory stored. And you're going to you're going to recollect that from smell we do that all the time. Yeah, so a lot of people when they start to see her with this think it smells like cat urine. Because cedar cedar chips in their cedar chips in. Sean Morgan 20:51 We had a guinea pig. So we always had the cedar chips. litter. Stacy Morris 20:55 Yeah, so the litter has cedar chips in it so that so there's that recall and when people start Realizing the actual benefits of it, you don't have to like the smell for it to have the benefit. And as you what we say is if you have if you smell an oil, and you just like, you know, when I first started, there was a blend called joy that was in the kit, and it had kind of under note of rows in it. And it was one of those things that I smelled it brought me back to and I didn't know why I didn't like it. I definitely need to enjoy things. Like if you if you have a visceral reaction to like, you really need it. So then you start putting it on your feet, right? That's what I do. Yeah, see, you don't really Sean Morgan 21:39 smell it. I'll give you one of my things that I do with essential oils right now which is kind of interesting, is I use Frankincense at night. If I want to have more powerful dreams, I'll put it on my neck. But if I don't want to bother my wife with the smell, put it on my feet. And what happens is I have dreams that where I go back to my childhood or I go back to my old relationships and it seems like my brain is like going back and healing old memories. I know Frankincense is known in many spiritual traditions as like a very spiritual tool that they used in sacred ceremonies for a long time. And I wonder if that's part of the healing properties of Frankincense. Stacy Morris 22:30 The amazing thing about these oils is is that you you use them for one thing, and they do three or four different other things. So it's a Sean Morgan 22:38 detoxifier, right? Stacy Morris 22:39 If you will, and it's and it's fabulous for selves. Um, it's really fabulous for cells. So I'm, like, amazing, amazing. That's about as much as I can say, for ourselves. It's amazing. Um, but You know, there was a reason why is imagine I brought frankincense, myrrh and gold, right? The frankincense and myrrh. And actually if you combine frankincense and myrrh together, they actually work eight times. Actually, that's what Sean Morgan 23:11 I'm doing. I was trying to imitate that verse from the Bible. Yes. It's like my holy oil. I want to try that oil called exodus from Young Living because they purposefully used the scriptures to create the blend that's similar to what the Israelites used. But for now, I'm doing frankincense and myrrh. I got that kit from Young Living called oils from ancient scripture. Stacy Morris 23:38 That's amazing. Sean Morgan 23:39 Yeah. And they're, they're interesting. Very different from like, the consumer friendly, happy smells. These are smells that are like pungent and bitter. And you can tell that these these things are potent. They're they're not sure how to send you back or they're not The girlie smells Stacy Morris 24:02 this is this is oil. So they introduced scripture, the Bible. And Dr. Stewart goes through and he explains all the Bible verses and like oil usage. I mean when you when you read the word appointment that is that is the basis of it. So it hundreds of times it's mentioned in the Bible. And of course, Exodus two is based on Exodus and it's, it's, it's, it's an amazing blend. I know find that when you really you know, when you really like them, you actually kind of crave them and Exodus twos when that you start smelling it's just like, Oh my gosh, it's so amazing. But I love I need to talk about frequency and oils, and how all living things have frequency. And because when we had talked Originally, we had talked about it helping, helping as we go through our awakening process. Yes. And just being being able to see the joy and see and get beyond an elevator frequency Sean Morgan 25:09 yes absolutely yeah because there's there's a spiritual battle going on and if you turn on your TV and you read the news and all of that you get sucked into a it's like a scam to try to bring down your your energy and and take your energy and take your focus. And because I have my other YouTube channel that's all about politics. I was really getting sad about things like that and getting angry and everything was bringing bringing me down. You gave me an oil. You called it unicorn. What did you put in that one? Stacy Morris 25:48 I put a lot of different things on it. Oh my goodness. There's a few of things that I put in there. One is highest potential. It's a blend that curiam work kind of as a perfume. And it was these these Royals have the ability for us to work through things work through traumas, to work through sadness, to, to, to elevate our frequency. And so I can tell them I can feel when I'm being weighed down by the news of the day. And I have have I've been researching and thank you so much for for providing such wonderful content because you are kind of my, the, the first person that I connected with as I was going through my journey and so I really appreciate everything that you did. very relatable, very easy, just like okay, Sean's my friend. He's gonna help me walk through this process. But there's some things that I found that I really didn't want to see. And I wish I wouldn't have I was like, Oh man, I wish I would have searched on that. And I grab my oils. I grab trauma life, which is the blend and it helps It helped kind of process through that. You have Sean Morgan 27:05 off the top of your head. What's inside of that one? Stacy Morris 27:08 Um, I don't. I don't. It's called trauma life trauma life. Mm hmm. That was an Indian living. Okay. Yes, yes, primary living. They also have one kit that I use that I absolutely love called the feelings kit. When my mom passed away, suddenly, I was able to actually function and process and do the things that I needed to do through some very traumatic times. And I had a friend, she's a doctor, she's like, dude, she's a chiropractor. She's really cool. She's like, dude, you need to get the feeling like I don't want to do my feelings. And she goes, No, I didn't. I was like, Oh my gosh, I could tell. I could tell when I when I was feeling frustrated and just Ah, like, we're on the edge. And I was like, Okay, I gotta grab, grab the oils, oils on and I can you know, my husband could immediately see But how much it was helping me. My kids were able to understand that, you know, mommy was working through some things and, you know, Sean Morgan 28:08 reconnects you to the essence. I mean, that's, that's a weird thing to say when you'd haven't experienced it. But yeah, you know, I think when we're in that states, we're kind of stuck in the past or stuck in the trauma or stuck in our mind. And then when we breathe in that it's like breathing in pure nature. And then we're like, oh, yeah, there's a there's a harmony and peace and and your picture of reality. You don't Stacy Morris 28:39 even have to believe in it. You may think that it's kooky and weird. I mean, I, you know, my husband was a complete skeptic. And, you know, when when I started, and I was like, here, prove me wrong. And I was like, Yeah, I was so new. I didn't really know what to do and, and he was like, Huh, okay, well, that worked. And then it was surprising. Okay. Well, that worked. So I slowly introduced things to him and he was different where I would put an oil on, I'd be like, Oh my gosh, this smells amazing. And he'd be like, it feels wet. I don't get Unknown Speaker 29:09 it. And he was Stacy Morris 29:10 he needed to detox a little bit more than I did. And now he's like, I can't get up and I understand it. And this way, the way that his body makeup is and so now he's just like, he's talking to everybody about it, because it's it's severely, it severely and positively impacted my family. You know, my husband had a allergic reaction to a brand of antibiotic and put him in the hospital before we had oils, and you know, because he was always getting sick. And so this is something that we don't have to deal with there anymore. Sean Morgan 29:50 Yeah, I wouldn't. I didn't tell you this. This is a great testimonial from my experience as far as not getting sick. I got a urinary tract infection. So for the first time in my life like 35 years old, it was burning when I was paying. I was like, What is going on? This is crazy. This before. And I actually had to google it because I had no idea why would it ever burn when you pee? And I found out I had a urinary tract infection and then I just looked up, you know what kind of essential oils help with this. And I just did that thing that you suggested whenever you were talking about your immune system. I put one drop of thieves in a glass of water and I drank it and I did that multiple times. And it stopped the the burning in one day. I was so happy because like everything I was reading online was like, nope, no natural remedy. You have to go to the doctor and they have to prescribe an antibiotic and all this stuff. And of course there's cranberry juice, but I was in Brazil, and so there was no cranberry. And, and so I was really happy to use an essential oil so quickly and I had it like a cabinet in the cabinet and you could just grab it and, and that was one of the examples of where ingesting it something you can do with Young Living, but you can't do that with a lot of others. Stacy Morris 31:18 Correct. And that's where the fatality light comes in. And the fatality line is specific to an approved it's, it's FDA approved for general regardless safe. So as any supplement or any vitamin that you would have is is the fatality version. So you can put it in a capsule, you can put it in a glass of water. And that's been so like we use it with Ningxia red, and my kids get an ounce or two of Ningxia red day and they get a job with these fatality in there. And it's I get we get it too and it's just something that just is, as everything is happening. We just we're keeping our Above the wellness line, um, and we're good, we're confident we can be confident, you know, but Sean Morgan 32:08 do you remember what's in thieves or should I look it up real quick and tell everyone What's in it? Stacy Morris 32:12 It's cinnamon bark. It's okay, Sean Morgan 32:17 it's okay. I actually already looked up trauma life it's trauma life is out of stock but they have Stacy Morris 32:25 it comes in they'll be it'll be back here shortly. Sean Morgan 32:27 They have Hawaiian sandalwood frankincense, Valerian black spruce. Unknown Speaker 32:36 Ivana Stacy Morris 32:38 devata is fabulous for is going to be fabulous for helping with our pineal gland. Unknown Speaker 32:46 I'm really I didn't know that. Stacy Morris 32:48 I didn't know that until Yeah, I had Sean Morgan 32:50 I assumed that that's what Frankincense does as well because your your pineal gland supposed to be like the seat of your soul and You know, if it's such a superior spiritual oil I, I assumed that that's what it was doing so I'm very curious because supposedly our pineal glands being calcified by fluoride and things like that. But trauma life also has lavender, geranium, kefir, lime and Rose. So that's a lot of really nice oils and Valerian I use Valerian tea and that has given me the deepest sleep I've ever had. So Stacy Morris 33:32 root of Allah, M is root Rita, valerian and lavender. every developer smells like dirty socks. It's Yeah, but you put out a tasty t No, no. So rid of Allah is is one that you put on your toes when you go sleep. And it's you're just out. I'm sure it's not it's probably not as fast as your stuff. So it works. So really quickly. Sean Morgan 34:02 Yeah, I have I have a testimonial for for Valerian tea. It's worked really well for me and the fact that there's an essential oil I've never tried the essential oil. But sleep is like, it's half of your wellness journey, like, Stacy Morris 34:15 Oh, absolutely, it's Sean Morgan 34:16 half of your life. And so, I'm only I've only been using lavender, I just ran out of lavender, so not to figure out what to do. But I have the list that's in thieves. It's clove oil, cinnamon bark oil, eucalyptus oil, rosemary, oil and lemon oil. And almost all of those are famous for being antibacterial, antiviral and so forth. Say that but but close. There are there are clinical studies that have shown that they're antibacterial and antiviral qualities to Stacy Morris 34:53 this story, the story the theme story is that the recipe was given out by thieves that were that were during the plague. And they were going in and they were robbing people that had died of the plague. And so they would you know, you have those like nose cones, they would put herbs at the end of the nose cones while these thieves would also rub the herbs on their bodies and they weren't catching the flag. And so when they got caught, they had to give up the recipe. Sean Morgan 35:23 So that's how I got the name thieves. Stacy Morris 35:25 They got the name base. Sean Morgan 35:26 Yeah. And so when I'm starting to feel sick, I put in one drop in a glass of water and I drink it and it's it's potent stuff. I mean, you can feel this. You can feel it in your mouth and the taste and everything's really strong. Especially the cinnamon. So yeah, it's potent stuff. Stacy Morris 35:49 Okay simulus for putting in a rollerball too. So you can put a couple drops in a rollerball if you don't want to drink it. You can put a couple drops on a rollerball with some carrot oil and rub it on your feet. Sean Morgan 36:01 Yeah cuz you don't necessarily want your partner to smell that strong scent at night when they're Stacy Morris 36:07 less unless you put it in the diffuser and then you better smelling it which Sean Morgan 36:10 it's a Christmasy kind of Christmas cookie smell. Yeah. Which is cool it during certain times of the year to have that kind of ambience. Yeah. So for for sleep, sleep aid Do you use Kevin Miele lavender? What's your go to? Well, Stacy Morris 36:30 my good oils I usually have them the diffuser, I usually have lavender peace and calming and cedarwood every once in a while. I'll add a little lingling so he like healing is the oil of love. Sean Morgan 36:44 Yeah, that's an amazing heavenly floral. And amazing. It's It's delicious. Yeah, it's amazing. Stacy Morris 36:52 And it's very relaxing. It's just like kind of like Sean Morgan 36:57 Yeah, yeah, it's seductive kind of perfume like it's not a cheap perfume. It's like a complex perfume. Yeah, Stacy Morris 37:09 then you can you can make you can make perfume. We've made perfumes and colognes we've made soap um yeah you can Sean Morgan 37:18 unicorn blend you gave me I use it as a cologne it has like a nice it has a little bit of spiciness to it to give it a little bit of masking but it's nice I think I Stacy Morris 37:27 might have put a couple drops of shoe Tron in there to Maria Hmm So she Tron is she Tron is that it's really kind of a male scent. And just it's it's just it smells delicious. And it just smells so good. So yeah, so it's just I gave you a lot of I wanted to put in a lot of high frequency oils just because I know that that was something that you were looking for. was just a you know, something you can put on and just have a fantastic wonderful day Sean Morgan 37:58 and I really get that with almost any oil that I diffuse my office when I'm working, it just makes me feel happier, lighter. I noticed lemon gives me a lot of energy. Like after an hour of diffusing lemon in my office. I'll like get up. And I'm feeling feeling excited. I'm like, Where did that come from? Oh yeah, it was lemon. Every time I felt like that was lemon. Stacy Morris 38:22 Yeah. When I first got my diffuser in my husband, it was still skeptic. I put a couple of drops of peppermint and a couple drops of lemon in the diffuser. And he was he was fine. He's like, I think it would have been work on that project I haven't worked on for the last two years. Sean Morgan 38:38 It worked. Stacy Morris 38:40 It worked. He was like I was like, he has no idea. Sean Morgan 38:43 Peppermint. You taught me the peppermint balm. Yes. Now I use that in the morning when I'm sluggish. is and it's not it's a hot oil. So you don't want to put it in sensitive parts of your skin but just like one drop on your palm. I note from my palm. It doesn't bother me. So I just put one drop on my palm and then I breathe it in like this. And it clears my sinuses and wakes me up. I'm like, ready to start the day because it really wakes you up. Stacy Morris 39:12 Yes, it's fabulous. Sean Morgan 39:14 But that's the kind of thing you always want to dilute, right? When you put it on your body. Stacy Morris 39:19 It depends. I mean it you know, there's times where I if I have if I have some head stuff going on, I'll take a swipe of it. And if you're going out and it's kind of cold, it's like Whoa, it's really cold, you know, because you kind of get that nice work. Um, but you know, sometimes you know, you definitely want to put it on for definitely dealt with children. And what essential oils can be utilized for all types of children, Ill ages of children, you just have to delegate properly. So we always you know, make sure people have dilution charts and things like that so that they can use it safely. Sean Morgan 39:52 If you diffuse peppermint, and you put in too much will start burning your eyes. Stacy Morris 39:58 Um, it can I mean it can it can certainly can depends you know i mean you always want to start slow whenever we whenever we talk and we get somebody going on oils is is always want to start slow because you know everybody's body's a little bit different so you know you want to make sure that you know you're starting off and you also you have to be aware of the detoxification so are these essential oils will help us as we're going through it'll help remove toxins in our body. And that was the thing with Charles is why he didn't have the reaction that I did because he was he was a little bit more toxic than I was so he took a little bit more detoxing and toxic oils are things that have stitches in them are fabulous for for detoxification, and then he was weak I thieves can actually can help detox you too. So I had a class or had somebody in my home and it didn't really know them. They were friend of a friend and they came in and we had talked about it and they had set them we were running out of room and they were sitting right next to the fuse and I had themes. I had the VHS going right next to it. And they were looking a little green, I'm like, let's turn that off and come to find out that they had a drug problem. And so they started detoxing. So they you know, so I mean, these really, unless you have to take a slow I didn't realize that they were, you know, that they were would have that reaction. So my thing is start slow, and then just kind of see how your body reacts. And then over a period of time, you know, you can kind of work your way up to it. Essential Oils will never because plants and they're they come from you know, they're planted in different regions of the world where they're most grown. They are, they're all have different, like weather can conditions and things like that they're all going to be they're all going to have the same molecules, but they're going to be slightly different. So your body's not going to have a read, they're not going to build up resistance to them. So that's that's the amazing thing with with Young Living essential oils, you're not going to get that resistance to it. Sean Morgan 41:57 So just a small amount will go along. Way, which is nice. Can you give a quick summary of what you should do if you have an emergency? Like you get oil in your eyes or on your lips or it's burning you somewhere on your body? What should people do? Because they probably think oh, I'll put water on it. Stacy Morris 42:16 No, yeah, that's the biggest. That's the number one mistake that people make is they go they get some good oil somewhere and they get ready for oil or run for water. We want them to run for oil. So carrier oil that you have in your pantry, any type of vegetable oil, coconut oil, any type of anything, Sean Morgan 42:33 like most people have olive oil for commonweal. Stacy Morris 42:35 Yeah, any type of anything of use for cooking, grab it and then and then basically put it on that spot where it's a little hot and then what it's going to do is it's going to dilute it um you know, so you never want to do that. If you happen to get in your eye. You don't want to get water you want to get oil and on it on them paper towel and just kind of kind of rub it you know, you never want to put oil in your eye in your ears. Your nose in any orifice. That's a really sensitive area. Sean Morgan 43:03 Yeah, Mm hmm. Stacy Morris 43:05 Yeah. Sean Morgan 43:07 Yeah. Okay. So I'm using lemon now for energy when you're feeling tired, if you want to go to the gym and you want to have energy, what oils do you go to? Stacy Morris 43:16 There's a handful of different ones. Um, peppermint is one that I definitely use because it really it helps. It helps. It helps with oxygen level. It helps with people being able to breathe deeper. People that have have had performance, find that they, they're better with altitude, they're also better with jumping and running faster, longer, that sort of thing. So it's something that they would take a little bit, inhale. They can do peppermint balm, that that's definitely gonna motivate you. They also have a supplement. It's a new shell. It's called Nisha nytro. And it's a little sachet and it's a little like drink. It's green tea, and it's got some essential oils in there that kind of kind of keep you going. I actually took one because I didn't. I was up early with the kids and getting home school and stuff like that. So yeah, so that I was like, Okay, I want to be alert and, you know, just don't get sick kicks Sean Morgan 44:16 in really fast. Stacy Morris 44:18 Yeah, yeah, so it's called linkshare nytro. Sean Morgan 44:22 Explain Ningxia. What is ninja Stacy Morris 44:25 ninja? Okay, Ninja is from the Ningxia wolfberry. From the Nisha region Sean Morgan 44:30 known as Goji Berry, right? Stacy Morris 44:32 It's a type of goji berry. So there's different types of berries, different types of gifts. So it's not a standard good to vary. It's a specific Berry. And it's based on what Gary was doing a lot of research. He was doing a lot of research on longevity and he was going and researching villages and tribes that had long longevity within their life. And one of the regions that they found was in Asia, and these people make China nice to China. And so what they found is as they had high sources of vitamin C in their, in their native closest fruit, they exercised, they did a lot better. And they ate very little. They had fasts in their, in their in their culture. But Nisha The wilbury was was very much a part of it. And so there were people that were living 220 hundred 30 hundred 40 which you don't hear about. But people were living, you know, long, long lives, you know, where they're out in the field, they were doing the work, didn't have glasses, didn't need to have glasses, things like that. So what what Gary developed was read and it is, has, its antioxidant, it's a power it's something called a super drink, a superfood drink. And it's it's Unknown Speaker 45:51 really good juice or a pure a it's a Stacy Morris 45:53 puree but it's a nice show very pure Ray and then it has essential oils in it. Got some juices in it. So when you drink it different people have different reactions. So we have we had a member who her 97 year old grandmother, who had just had surgery, was drinking Ningxia. And she found that she could have range of motion so she can stick up her knee by her nose, which I can't do. So I mean, you know, some different people have different reactions to this for us. It's something that we've implemented to our wellness journey that the kids drink every day. That it's it's a great way too. It's a great source of vitamin C, and it's a great source of zinc. Yes, fabulous for taking and drinking right now. Sean Morgan 46:48 Can I read the ingredients? Yes, please. Yeah, we've got that Ningxia wolfberry puree, blueberry juice concentrate, plum juice concentrates cherry juice. aronia juice I never heard of that pomegranate juice so that you're talking about a lot of superfoods already. Yeah. And then this proprietary essential oil blend, which has the Grapeseed extract, orange yuzu never heard of that, but that's like a citrus, it is lemon, tangerine. So a lot of these citruses so these must be very energizing. Stacy Morris 47:28 So well, they are a lot of detoxifying, too. So if you look at all the citrus is they have a component or a molecule called d limonene. And so do you limonene is is was a wonderful scrubber, um, and just cleanses things. Sean Morgan 47:44 So well, I want to ask you more questions, but we're kind of out of time for today, but in the fall and like we should just do another interview next week and I'll ask you about how you use essential oils and other ways besides, we mentioned today like unwinding and To pick me up, but there's so many other things for you and your family that you use them that I'd like to pick your brain on them some more. Stacy Morris 48:08 Absolutely. Anything. Yeah. Sean Morgan 48:10 For now, I'm just going to put a link in the description. It's a Young Living dot family slash start where people can get one of these kits. And, and I'll probably do a couple more videos where people can see what the kits look like and what's included in the kits and everything. You can choose your own kits. So there are different kits, but it's nice. And once you have one, you have basically like a cabinets of different oils that you can use for different purposes. Stacy Morris 48:35 Yeah. And we'll help you get started. Sean Morgan 48:38 Yeah, actually, you're willing to do a free consultation. Is that right? Absolutely. So if someone gets a kit, and they want to talk to you about like, Okay, how do I do my own blends? How do I do my DIY stuff? Stacy Morris 48:51 Yeah. And we have a we have a group as well, that we're actually just instituting a new forum. So it's not on Facebook. You can just go And ask questions and and and hear and listen from testimonies because there's so much that people can do and people have done. And those personal testimonies are really important to be able to go in and ask questions. Sean Morgan 49:15 Do this. That's actually why I'm doing this channel because I found that knowledge nowadays is so decentralized, that the only way to get the truth is to go on YouTube and find out someone's personal testimony and see if you can like, triangulate through a lot of people's different testimonies what's going on with the truth like with which diets work and which, you know, like, I'm very interested in things like intermittent fasting and paleo diet and all these things. So what's the best way to learn about it, see other people who have already done it and see what they have to say? So you have a whole group where people share stuff. And if people want to do this as a business, what have you noticed, like, Is there a certain profile of the type of person this fits well, like people Like moms who want to work from home or like yoga teachers are like, Who does this? Who does the best with these types of selling essential oils, Stacy Morris 50:09 people that want to serve others and people that want to share people that find an amazing product and can't stop talking about it. Um, we don't sell anything, we just share experience. And so I would say the most successful people that we have on our team are those that strictly share from their heart and share from their personal experience. I mean, that's, it's, there's nothing better than oh my gosh, can you believe what I've just done? This is something I have never been able to find anywhere else. And it's, it's astonishing the stories that we hear it's people have Sean Morgan 50:50 a passion for health. Stacy Morris 50:52 Oh, you know, it's funny, you see people that you know, that came in and they were they were green mamas or they were really, you know, Bury into natural living. And then you find people like me that I was not natural to begin with. I didn't I didn't really seek that out. But little did I know that one step led in front of the other. And each wellness journey is is your own path. And it's really your own story. And so that testimony is really important because not only are you living through it, you're able to share with others and there's nothing better than than helping and serving others. Because there's the time freedom. There's, you know, I've had businesses in the past and honestly, this is like the best business ever. I don't take any inventory. All I do is educate people and I help people make that get on the wellness journey and answer questions and things like that. So it's very, it's very inexpensive to get started. And you can run your business from anywhere. So I'm in North Texas, but I have team all throughout the US At 10 in the Brazil, it's growing and in Malaysia and Indonesia, Australia. So really South Africa so I mean, there's actually a huge a huge opening market is the Middle East. So I mean, really it's an India is opening up next year too. So I mean, there's lots I mean really anybody that you that you can talk to you that you can help social people do well with this social people do fabulous with it. And again, it's just it's not the you know, here I've got it, you know, an oil I want you to buy it's, it's, this is what this has done for me and this is how it changed my life. Yeah, you Sean Morgan 52:39 said just get oil on people Stacy Morris 52:41 skin oil, and people just have them have their own experience because it is an experience. Um, and, you know, there's stories of testimonies of people that have been very like, Don't talk to me, and then they get oils on themselves. If Frankincense for sure is one when you anoint yourself with essential oils, with anoint yourself with Frankincense. It speaks, it's hard to explain but it really speaks in it really, it really gets you into that centered centeredness of, of just reconnecting with being able to, to, to really start feeling and to really, it's different. It's a different. It's a different frequency, Sean Morgan 53:24 you do color personality profiles. And can you explain the colors of the people who do well with with this type of thing? versus do all colors do it? Stacy Morris 53:34 all colors do? We're all we're all four different colors. It's kind of a Myers Briggs that we do. And you know, some people do some people do um, oh, gosh, what is the it's called it's, oh, it's a new personality test people take and it's a seven, like a seven wing three or something. It's called but um, but but really people that you know, are excited, that are driven that want to help people and that want to have fun. I mean, you know, this is this is a network marketing business. And this is something where, you know, I have met the most amazing people on this journey. Like, I have closer friends now than I ever did when I had my own business or when I was going through college or anything like that. I've had deeper relationships because we're, we're, we're building a business together. We're moms, we've got families helping families, families, though, Yeah, totally. And, and, and the amount of men that are in this business, because they see the value and they see that this works. When I started in 2013. I went to my free first convention, there was like 20 token guys. And then as the business has grown, it's probably now about 35 40% men that come to convention. My husband went to the last men's retreat that Gary was alive. And he had at his ranch in Utah, and he came back a changed man. He was like, I need my own supplements, he watch Crossfire he gets to do all that guy's stuff and he just had a fabulous time but was really understanding as to you know, these are these are real, and these do amazing things and everybody's story is different. Sean Morgan 55:22 So what I'm going to pick your brain some more in the next talk because we just don't have enough time in the day to cover all of the different uses. Stacy Morris 55:30 I can talk all Unknown Speaker 55:33 what I do what I love. Sean Morgan 55:34 Thank you, Stacy. Appreciate your time today.
